A Promise We'll Keep
The real genius of the Peace Corps lies in its three goals, expressed in simple language in the Congressional Act that created the agency:

1. To help others overseas.
2. To live with and understand another culture.
3. To share with our fellow Americans the world we found overseas.

While we all share pride that Peace Corps Volunteers achieve the first two of these goals on a daily basis, there is a renewed concern that Returned Peace Corps Volunteers have not achieved the Third Goal of the Peace Corps Act. We have not done enough to educate Americans here at home by sharing our knowledge, skills, and hard-earned experiences gained while serving in the developing nations of the world.

But now, members of the Returned Peace Corps Volunteer community have established the Peace Corps Fund, a non-profit, tax exempt, 501 (C) (3) organization.
